England based striker Jordan Ayew has been given permission by the Ghana Football Association to report late in camp as the Black Stars continue their preparations for AFCON 2017.
Aston Villa manager, Steve Bruce has confirmed that Jordan has been granted a grace period to play the Aston Villa vs Cardiff game on 2nd January, 2017 before joining the rest of the Stars who will be in Dubai by then.
Steve Bruce said” We have got permission from Ghana for Jordan to play, we are waiting to hear from Ivory Coast on Kodjia.”
Further on the Ivorian, Mr. Bruce explained thus,”We hope they see sense for him to play and then report later”.
Jordan Ayew is the younger brother of Andre Dede Ayew,who also plays in England for Premiership side Westham United.
He will miss some important games for the Championship side Aston Villa including the FA Cup clash with Tottenham.
