Ministry Of Youth and Sports settle Queens debt

The Ministry of Youth and Sports have settled some of the outstanding bonuses owed the Black Queens of Ghana.

The Queens have been paid $13,000 each from a total amount of $24,000 to be paid to each player. The remainder of $11, 000 would be paid in two weeks time as promised by the Ministry.

The bonus was due to be paid for the qualification to and participation of the African Women’s Cup of Nations played in Cameroon some months ago.

The inability of the Ministry and Government led by outgoing President John Mahama to settle this monetary issue led to the demonstration of the players of the Black Queens to demand their money.

Queens striker, Elizabeth Addo confirmed this on her facebook account.
