Leicester City offers support to Ranieri despite poor season

Defending PL champions, Leicester City has released unwavering support for their manager, Claudio Ranieri in the heat of a possible sack.

The Italian who spearheaded Leicester City’s title winning season last season has saw his side lost 13 games in the PL and are just two points away from Sunderland who lies bottom of the Premier League table. He recently admitted that he was not an invincible when it comes to his axe.

The Foxes have lost 4 straight Pl games with the recent being the 3-0 reverse against Manchester United at the King Power Stadium. To add salt to the woes, Leicester City is yet to record an away win in the Premier League after 24 games. Their PL record this season stands at Played 24, Won 5, Drew 6 and Lost 13.

No club has won the league and got relegated in the Premier league history since Manchester City who is the only English club ever to have won the league (old division one)  in 1937 but got relegated to the old division two in 1938.

In the wake of many calling for his sack, the management and owners of the club have released support for the manager saying; “In light of recent speculation, Leicester City Football Club would like to make absolutely clear its unwavering support for its first-team manager Claudio Ranieri. “While there is a collective appreciation from everyone at the club that recent form needs to improve, the unprecedented success achieved in recent seasons has been based firmly on stability, togetherness and determination to overcome even the greatest of challenges. “The entire club is and will remain united behind its manager and behind its players, collectively and firmly focused on the challenges ahead.”
