Reports reaching GhanaMansports.com indicates that Leicester City has ended their relationship with first team manager, Claudio Ranieri after less than six months of guiding the Foxes to the PL title.
The Italian who join the Foxes in 2015 after they have parted away with Nigel Pearson (who ensured Leicester joins the elite and avoid relegation in the 2014/2015 season) starred the club to an unprecedented PL title after defying all odds beating the likes of Tottenham Hotspurs and Arsenal to it.
The former Chelsea manager kept the club on 17th position in the PL with just 2 points separating them from the bottom club, Sunderland and also lost 2-1 to Sevilla in the first leg of the UEFA CHAMPIONSHI LEAGUE yesterday at the Ramon Sanchez Pijuain which turned out to be Ranieri’s last game in charge of the Foxes.
Earlier is year, the top hierarchy of Leicester City came out to debunk claims that Ranieri will be sacked assuring him of their maximum support and just after a month, he is given the axe. He becomes the second consecutive manager to have won the league and got sacked in the following season in the last 7 seasons after Jose Mourinho in 2015.
Ranieri leaves Leicester City with a PL title and also won the best coach of the year at the FIFA BEST AWARDS.
We wish Claudio Ranieri well as he moves on.
