FIFA President Gianni Infantino says he wants Ghanaians to support him in order to develop football in the world.
Infantino arrived in the country in the morning and he went straight to the Flagstaff House to meet Ghana President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The Italian in a short meeting with Ghana’s President said:
“I need you(Ghana) to help me develop football and show the World how it could be done”FIFA President said.
Gianni Infantino succeeded Sep Blatter, who resigned last year over corruption charges.
The 46-year-old touched down the Kotoka International Airport after 9am Monday.
Infantino was welcomed by the President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi and some of his Executive Committee members.
The FIFA President stopped over in Accra after visiting South Africa, Zimbabwe and Uganda where he has been interacting with several heads of national federations across Africa.
