Kumasi Asante Kotoko winger, Emmanuel Gyamfi who for the third match in a row won man of the match has accepted that the players are now adapting to the new formation deployed by their manager Dravsko Lugarusic.
The Croat appointed to steer Kotoko to glory in the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup is deploying a 3-5-2 formation of which Emmanuel Gyamfi admits the players are struggling to adapt to the new role despite earning them 10 points from their first four games.
The winger who have been impressive since joining Kotoko told reporters in the post match interview after Kotoko beat Ashgold 1-0 at the Obuasi Len Clay that the system is not difficult but the players are yet to adapt to the new system. He said ”The new system under the the new coach, I’ll say is not a difficult system for we the players, just that as a player you have to work on your fitness level to be able to adapt it very well”. ”As a footballer, you should be able to play any role given to you by a coach even if it’s difficult but for me I think we are not worried with the new system, because we have won three matches with the system”.
