Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp is planning to have a talk with forward, Daniel Sturridge to see where his future lies at the end of the season.
The former Manchester City and Chelsea player who missed Liverpool’s 3-1 loss to Leicester City due to illness has started only five Premier League games this season and has nine apps in total this season.
The 27 year old English has two goals so far this season and has been out of selection either by tactical reasons or due to injuries.Jurgen Klopp seeks to restructure his playing squad as he admitted he needs to overhaul the squad that is struggling to find space and power in 2017.
When quizzed about Daniel Sturridge, the German said; “I have no idea what happens in the summer”. It is not only Daniel but a lot of players”. “Daniel was not in training for eight or nine days because of a virus infection”. “We have to bring him back to the best shape possible and then bring this season to an end as successfully as possible”.
“Then we will make decisions and speak about Daniel and any other players about what will happen at the end of the season”. “A lot of things will influence this and we can speak about it when it is time”.
