Manchester United forward, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and AFC Bournemouth’s defender, Tyrone Mings have been charged by the FA for violent conduct in Saturday’s 1-1
draw at Old Trafford.
The two clashed in the game in three separate incidents as Ibrahimovic first threw Mings onto the floor before the Cherries player was seen on camera to have stamped on the hair of Ibrahimovic despite not been seen by the referee.
The Swede returned what was not also seen by the referee on the day, Kevin Friend with an elbow on Tyrone Mings which led to the dismissal of David Surman, captain of Bournemouth.
The pair has up to 6pm on Tuesday, 7th March, 2017 to respond to the charge.
The FA Statement reads; “Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Tyrone Mings have both been charged with alleged violent conduct following the Manchester United versus AFC Bournemouth game on Saturday [4 March 2017]”.
Off the ball incidents which are not seen by referees but caught on camera are referred to a panel of three elite former referees for action to be taken.
