Defending Champions OF Ghana Premier League, Wa All Stars beat regional rivals, Bolga All Stars 3-1 in the outstanding league fixture at the Tamale Utrecht park.
Coach Enos Adepa’s side were on a mission to record their second consecutive win this season after a last minute 1-0 win over Inter Allies.
The game went on a barren draw util the 64th minute when David Abagna put the visitors ahead and the lead was immediately doubled as in-form Richard Arthur doubles the lead for the visitors and registered his third of the season in the 67th minute.
The Premier League debutants appeared to suggest a comeback when Maxwell Frimpong pulled a goal back but their faint hopes were dashed in added time as Abagna scored his second of the game.
The defeat was the home side’s fourth in five games and are rooted second from bottom with just a point ahead of last placed Olympics.
The Wa lads will take on Medeama SC in match-day 6 of the Ghana Premier League whilst Bolga All Stars face Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Meanwhile Bolga All Stars have applied for an alternation of venue to Techiman where they wish to play their Week 6 league match against Asante Kotoko.
