Golfer Tiger Woods is a doubt for the Masters after suffering a back injury.
The 14 times champion pulled out of next week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational tournament, saying he has “no timetable” for his return.
Woods has not played since he withdrew from the Dubai Desert Classic in February.
Tiger Woods was ‘disappointed’ because he wanted to honour Arnold who won seven majors but died last September aged 87.
“I’m especially disappointed because I wanted to help honour Arnold.”
“This is one event I didn’t want to skip. Arnold has meant so much to me and my family; I thought of him as a close friend. He will be greatly missed and can never truly be replaced.”
Tiger Woods is the most decorated golfer at the Arnold Palmer Invitational tourney having won it 8 times. No one aside him has won it more than twice.
The American last played in the tournament in 2013.
