Ghana Football Association President, Kwesi Nyantakyi has been re-elected as one of the two Africans to represent the Confederation of African Football on the FIFA Executive Council after the CAF ExtraOrdinary Elections on Thursday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The CAF Executive Member and Ghanaian, Kwesi Nyantakyi pulled 33 votes to beat Tanzanian Leodegar Tenga who pulled 20 votes.
Nyantakyi was first elected onto the FIFA Council last year and has amassed the needed vote to serve on the Council again.
Reports from Addis Ababa claim, he could be handed the first vice president role after Ahmad Ahmad has won the CAF Presidency.
