Sunderland forward Jermain Defoe has earned a recall into the English national team after his standout performances for the Black Cats this season.
The forward has scored 14 Premier League goals this season for the relegation threatened team.
The 34 year old has been named a part of the England squad that will engage in a friendly with Germany on March 22 and the World Cup qualifier against Lithuania at Wembley on March 26.
Defoe has 55 England caps and played his last international match in November 2013 against Chile.
There were also call ups for 19 year old Manchester United’s forward, Marcus Rashford, uncapped Nathan Redmond and Jamie Ward Prowse. WestBromich Albion, Jake Livermore who sole international appearance came in 2012 is also included.
