CEO of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei has revealed his plans of constructing a mini stadium for the Porcupine Warriors, Light FM Sports sources have disclosed.
According to sources close to ghanamansports.com, Dr. Kwame Kyei has reached an agreement with architects (yet to be named) who have inspected the venue and will construct a 20,000 capacity Stadium at the club’s current training ground at Adako Jachie.
The ground-breaking project is part of an overall regional economic development plan designed to host Asante Kotoko’s home games in the premier league and other tournaments the club will engage in.
Aside the 20,000 edifice, the facility will come along with all the medical and rehab facilities.
The project is expected to be completed within the 3-year mandate given to Dr. Kwame Kyei to run Kotoko.
Asante Kotoko currently uses the Baba Yara Sports Stadium as its home grounds and that have compounded their financial challenges as charges by the government is having a severe effect on the club.
