Liverpool legend, Ronnie Moran has died aged 83 after battling a short illness.
The former captain and coach of the Merseyside based club famously led Liverpool out at Wembley in the 1992 FA Cup Final when Graeme Souness was recovering from surgery.
Moran made 379 appearances for Liverpool in 14 seasons at the club.
H joined Liverpool in 1952 and served till 1998 as a player and caretaker manager.
He is the club’s longest-serving employee.
Moran reign at Anfield saw him work under nine different managers.
His son Paul Moran confirmed the death of the father on twitter saying it is ‘devastating’.
