Netherlands have sacked their manager, Danny Blind after losing to Bulgaria 2-0 in the World Cup qualifiers on Saturday.
The ex Dutch international took over the national team in 2015 after the exit of former Chelsea manager, Guus Hiddink.
Blind, 55, father of Manchester United defender, Daley Blind has left the Netherlands fourth in their World Cup qualifying group and are in a danger of missing Russia 2018.
He also failed to qualify the Netherlands to the European Championship which was hosted by France last summer.
The Dutch FA released a statement saying; Blind has been released of his duties as the head of the national team because he has left the team “with difficulty qualifying for the World Cup in Russia”.
Assistant manager, Fred Grim will take charge as interim coach till a new one is appointed.
His first assignment will be facing Italy on Tuesday.
