The Coach of Obuasi AshGold SC, Bashiru Hayford has tendered in his resignation as coach of the Miners.
At about 10:00 am local time, he was seen leaving the Ashanti Gold secretariat for the last time, with some officials seeing him off after he tendered-in his resignation.
He outlined the problem of team yesterday in a press conference.

Coach Bash went on to explain that the management and board could not get the kind of players he asked for before the start of the Ghana Premier 2017.”
The club registered 19 new players 2 weeks before the league started and I had to allow them to because if not, I can’t determine whether they can play I not.
“Coach Bash won tthe league with AshGold two seasons ago and there have been great deal of pressure from the Obuasi fans to continue the fine performance that won them the league.
Moreover, the team has witnessed a decline in financial support and that has forced them to allow most of the key players to leave the club.
AshGold will face Bolga All Stars on Sunday at Obuasi and Assistant coach Mambo has been assigned to take charge of the team.
They are positioned 14th on the league table and looking forward to move from the relegation zone.
