GFA Technical Head confirms Maxwell Konadu’s departure from Black Stars

Maxwell Konadu will give up his job as Black Stars No.2 job following the re-appointment of Kwesi Appiah as revealed by Coach Francis Oti Akenteng, the head of the technical committee for the Ghana Football Association

It appears the romance of the ex-Kotoko trainer with the Black Stars will come down crushing if the Ghana FA’s technical chief Coach Oti Akenteng is to be believed.

“If a coach is appointed and he is coming with his backroom staff then Maxwell’s fate will surely not be known as an assistant coach again “, he told Starr Sports.

Ex-Ghana international Ibrahim Tanko is the front-runner to deputize for the 57-year-old with former captain CK Akunnor the remote candidate to assist.

However, Ghana FA technical chief Francis Oti Akenteng has confirmed the future of Konadu remains unknown.

Konadu has been an assistant since 2012 where he worked under under Kwesi Appiah and Avram Grant.

Sources close to Ghanamansports.com  confirm that the newly appointed tactician is seeking fresh faces to help him to to turnaround the fortunes of the Black Stars.

Meanwhile, Maxwell Konadu is likely to maintain his job as the Head coach for the local Black Stars.
