Hatem Ben Arfa, PSG star, spoke to France Football about the changes in football and his way of understanding it. He also thanked god for the existence of a team like Barcelona, something that fans can really enjoy.
“Luckily Barcelona are here. Without this team, we would say that football had ended, it’s dead.” Ben Arfa has often shown a predilection for the Blaugrana.
Ben Arfa said: “Barcelona show they can play at a high level without spoiling the spectacle. Football is a spectacle. People come to the stadium to entertain themselves.”
He continued: “I would pay to watch Iniesta. Like I would do for Verratti. Andres is a gift. He has magic and you never know what he’s going to do. When I am on the bench, at least, I can spend a nice time watching Verratti.
“Messi is like Iniesta, but Cristiano is not like this. I don’t feel any emotion watching him, he’s too predictable.”
Asked about Mourinho he said: “The guy who’s coaching Man United? Mourinho like Simeone is the opposite of Cruyff and freedom. There’s no place for that in a coach.”
