Manchester United’s manager, Jose Mourinho is at its again as he reiterated that defender Luke Shaw who came on for injured Ashley Young used his body but the brain of him Mourinho.
Manchester United needed a late penalty goal scored by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, his 16th PL goal, to salvage a point against Ronald Koeman’s Everton.
Everton was on course to secure a win at Old Trafford until substitute Luke Shaw goal bound effort was handled by captain Ashley Williams, who saw red in the dying embers of the game to ensure Manchester United secure another point at Old Trafford.
In his post match conference, Jose Mourinho said;
“He was in front of me and I was making every decision for him,” said Mourinho.
“He has to change his football brain.”
“We need his fantastic physical and technical qualities but he cannot play with my brain,” added the Old Trafford manager, who sent on Shaw only after Ashley Young’s injury.
“He must accelerate the process. Twenty-one is old enough to have a better understanding. He has a future here but Manchester United cannot wait.”
Mourinho also talked of Marcus Rashford who is finding difficulty infront of goal saying;
“The kid is desperate.” “He tries and tries.
“It is not a surprise in the second year. One day I will try to find out if it happened with Ryan Giggs or one of those guys.
“I must not kill him. I have to help him because the kid is phenomenal.”
The draw mean United lies fifth with 9 more games to play.
