COMMEBOL side, Argentina have sacked their manager, Edgardo Bauza after just eight games in charge of the La Albiceleste.
59 year old Bauza was appointed in August to steer the Argentine national team to success but in just eight games in charge, he won three, lost three and managed two draws.
Argentina are currently 5th in the 10-team South American qualifying group and following a 2-0 loss to Bolivia, the Argentina FA says the national team is playing badly.
The first four after the 18 round of games qualify for the Mundial with the fifth placed team taking to a playoff against the team from Oceania. Argentina currently occupies the playoff spot and the Argentina FA president Claudio Tapia said;
“We’ve told Bauza he’s ceased to be the national team coach.”
“The national team is playing badly and everyone knows it.”
Argentina plays Uruguay in their next qualifier.
