Hon. Isaac Asiamah, TheYouth and Sports Minister, has expressed his delight at the appointment of Kwesi Appiah as the new Black Stars Head Coach and has pledged massive support for the Black Stars returnee Coach.
The former Black Stars coach was re-appointed by the six-member search committee of the Ghana Football Association and, is mandated to steer the affairs of the team for the next two years.
The Minister applauded the search committee for a good work done and remains hopeful Appiah will succeed in his second coming while stating his support to Kwesi’s cause.
“The President of the country has pledged support for Kwesi Appiah. Whatever he deserves shall be provided because it is the responsibility of government to provide the facilitation.
“So now that he is back, the government will support him so that he succeeds because he is one of our own, having once captained the team and coached as well.”
He added: “The appointment of foreign coaches have deepened the woes of the Black Stars, so I will applaud the search committee for doing a good job,” Hon. Asiamah told the press during his tour of the Accra Sports Stadium yesterday.
