Accra Hearts of Oak board member, Frank Nelson has mentioned the club will not be forced into announcing the appointment of a new managing director following the resignation of Vincent Sowah Odotei.
Mr. Odotei recently resigned from his post with the club after he was elected into the legislative arm of the government as the parliamentary representative for La Dadekotopon consistency.
Hearts finally after a month announced Odotei’s resignation and Nelson speaking after their 1-1 home draw against Mysterious Dwarfs told the press, “we need to appoint someone who has the interest of both the club and management colleagues at heart.
“We don’t need to be in a haste to name a new managing director (MD) – we need to get on board one who can help sustain the club and based on this and other factors we will not be pushed to immediately name a new MD,” he added.
The former premier league champions since their flotation in 2011 have seen no peace as past directors of the club have criticized the current board chairman and the majority shareholder Togbe Afede XIV for his autocratic style of leadership.
