Coach Frimpong Manso has confirmed that he has been asked to head the technical team of Kumasi Asante Kotoko on interim basis.
The highly experienced coach was initially offered an advisory role to Godwin Ablodey who was acting as caretaker coach after departure of Zdravsko Lugarosic.
“Yes, it is true, I have been asked to act in the interim, my challenge now is to improve results for now, psyche the players who are down to raise their spirit,” he told Nhyira FM in Kumasi.
The former player is expected to lead the team this weekend when they face Bekwai United in the Round of 64 of the MTN FA Cup competition.
He was initially approached to serve as an advisory man to care taker, Godwin Ablordey.
Ablordey was handed the latest assignment after the club parted ways with Head Coach, Zdravko Logarusic about a week ago. Earlier on, Management announced that, Coach Frimpong Manso had been brought in to “help and assist” Ablordey.
