Ghana’s football exports Frank Acheampong and Emmanuel Adjei Sowah have won the Belgian Premier League title with Anderlecht after a 3-1 away triumph over Sporting Charleroi on Thursday.
Anderlecht won the League trophy after failing to clinch it last season when they lost it to Gent.
Anderlecht winning the title this season means that Frank Acheampong have won his third League trophy with the Purple & White since joining them three seasons ago with Emmanuel Sowah winning his maiden cup with the Belgium giants.
Rene Weiler’s team with a game to spare needed a win over Charleroi to be crown champions.
Frank Acheampong who played a crucial role in his side’s title winning netted twice in 28 appearances for the Club.
Anderlecht atop the log with 49 points with a match to end the season.
The Ghanaian youngster Emmanuel Adjei Sowah left Dreams FC last year to join the Belgian club. The defender was promoted to the Anderlecht first team in January 2016.
The 18-year-old right back joined the Purple and White after excelling with their youth team.
Sowah helped his team to reach the semi-final of the 2015/2016 UEFA Youth Champions League.
