The captain of the Black Stars of Ghana, Asamoah Gyan has also added his voice to the condemnation of what happened in Denkyira-Obuasi as a captain was lynched and burnt all due to been mistaken to be an armed robber.
Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama who is a senior member of the Ghana Armed Forces was lynched in the early hours of Monday as he was jogging. The soldier was mistaken to be an armed robber, reports say and was beaten and burnt to death. His death sparked wild agitations from the Army leading to the President of the land, His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo vowing to bring these bad perpetrators to book.
The Al Ahli player, Asamoah Gyan who is a Ghanaian and leader of the national team has also added his voice to the issue, tweeting;
NEVER AGAIN GHANA! Doing this to our own blood? such has gone on for far too long. Let’s all come together to end such horrific acts ASAP.
He is condemning the gruesome murder of the statesman and call on Ghanaians to come together so as this unscrupulous act will be brought to an end.
