Super agent, Mino Raiola claims Manchester United forward, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is seeking to stay at the club for next season.
The 35 year old Swede signed for United on a year deal and made an instant impart at Old Trafford scoring 28 goals in 46 appearances before sustaining “significant knee ligament damage” during United’s 2-1 Europa League win over Anderlecht in April and was ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.
He is currently undergoing treatment and was seen on clutches at Stockholm when United beat Ajax 2-0 to win the UEFA Europa League. The Swede posed with his 33rd major trophy after the final and when asked about his injury, he told Sky Italia that he would “be back in a few weeks time” but reports suggest he may return in 2018.
Asked whether Ibrahimovic will still be at Old Trafford, Raiola said;
“Oh, yes. He wants to stay in England he wants to stay at the top and if he sees that he can be a valuable asset for Manchester United, then why not Manchester United?
“He can be a valuable asset for some other top clubs also. But I think it is respectful to talk to Manchester United and to see what all parties want.”
When asked about his injury affecting potential suitors, Raiola said;
“We have a lot of offers and ideas and we have to evaluate them”.
“He has had a fantastic time at Manchester United and it is up to the club and myself to see what the future brings.
“For now, it is important he recovers well and then we will see.”
