Saddick Adams has sent an emotional message to Berekum Chelsea following his move to Kotoko.
Adams after unsuccessful stints in abroad returned to Berekum Chelsea to relaunch his career last season and he was one of the best players in the domestic top-flight, scoring 8 goals in 19 games.
The 27 year-old goal poacher took to his official Facebook page to issue an emotional message to Berekum Chelsea.
“Will like to thank every member of the Berekum Chelsea, the technical team, the supporters, the players and most important the CEO Mr. Nana Kwame for believing in me and given me the opportunity to showcase myself during my time in Berekum Chelsea FC when no one believe in me. Is hard to say goodbye but is part of the game, Chelsea will also be part of me, thanks ones again, thank you..ADA99,” he posted.
He then joined Cypriot top-flight side Türk Ocağı on a short-term deal.
Adams after ending his stint with Türk Ocağı has now joined Asante Kotoko on a two-year deal.
Sadick Adams revealed sometime ago that it was bad management that led him to signing for both Atletico Madrid and Etoile du Sahel.
Adams scored four goals in the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Korea almost a decade ago and was one of the most sought after young players on the African continent.
“The pre contract with Etoile was signed right after the U17 African cup in Togo even before Ashgold were in champions league and I even played some league matches till the World Cup in Korea” He is quoted by football made in Ghana
“But like I always say, as a young player I was not guided well and I was even told I am under age so the contract will not be valid until I turn 18…that time I was guided and managed by my club (Ashgold) not an agent until license agent came into the picture after the World Cup”
”I was under age and I couldn’t sign a professional contract so I was allowed to sign any club of my choice with the likes of my father moving in with me anywhere I choose to go but I didn’t know my father was already in Tunisia while I was in Korea for the World Cup so everything was done without my knowledge. I found out all this when the case went to FIFA,”
The Ghanaian went on to play for Atletico Madrid’s youth side till he was banned by FIFA.
