Newcastle United manager, Rafa Benitez has thrown the missiles that there are only three good trophies in England and any other aside the three is just not worth it.
The Spaniard who has qualified Newcastle United back to the top flight of English football after a year absence made this known when he spoke with BBC Sports.
The former Liverpool and Chelsea manager who won the UEFA Europa League with Chelsea in 2013 as a caretaker manager before his arch rival, Jose Mourinho took over the club has reignited his feud with the Portuguese saying any other trophy aside the FA Cup, the English Premier League and the UEFA Champions League is just not a trophy as there are only three trophies England clubs play in to win.
Jose Mourinho claimed he has won three trophies when he won the Community Shield, The EFL and the UEFA Europa League this season. But Rafa Benitez who is not in good cordial terms with the Portuguese thinks otherwise.
He is quoted as saying;
“In England there are only 3 good trophies that you have to win as a good manager, the EPL, FA Cup and the Champions league”. ” The rest are not good trophies”.
“I did win Europa league with Chelsea and decided not to dance like someone did, because in a normal routine it’s not a good trophy for such a team”.
The feud is expected to continue as pundits believe the Manchester United’s manager, Jose Mourinho will also respond to Benitez’s claim
