Ghana’s President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo says he is confident the Black Stars will get their 2018 World Cup dream back on track despite their shaky start to the campaign.
The Black Stars are confronted with the demande to qualify for the 2018 World Cup as Egypt lead the table with the Stars lagging 5 points.
Nana Addo said “I am sure Herculean task of making to the World Cup in Russia after managing just a point from the possible six is possible’.
The Stars drew goalless against Uganda at home and lost their second game by two goals to nil against the Pharoah’s of Egypt.
Speaking at an event organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, in Berlin, Germany, President Akufo Addo believes it will be difficult for the team but is hopeful the players will give off their best to qualify.
“It appears qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia will be difficult”
Last year was not a good year politically and economically and it showed in our football”
“Nevertheless am sure the black stars will do their best shot “he added.
