Udinese midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has denied the supposed rift between Captain Asamoah Gyan and his deputy Dede Ayew.
He said “it’s just a speculation because the two gentlemen relate very well both on and off the pitch”.
Badu who is on holidays after the Italian Serie A 2016/17 season ended spoke to Boss Sports in Kumasi this afternoon.
He emphasised that ” the fact that we are team mates does not mean we have to be close friends”.
“Each one of us has his close pal when we are out of the playing field and that is normal even in our clubs.” Badu explained.
When asked about how some club administrators are adding their voices that the division in the Stars exist, he said “most of these people who run football in the country do not understand football very well”.
The former Berekum Arsenals player said “my interest is in Agriculture and would venture into that after football as a result of how footballers are treated in Ghana”.
He also confirmed that he was broken when he was dropped from the recent call-ups for the Black Stars by Coach James Kwasi Appiah, ” It becomes extremely difficult when a new coach comes on board, starts building a new team and decides not to call you, thus the competition in the team has now become keen but once I start working harder, I would get back into the team”.
Lastly, he confirmed his desire to play for Kotoko again before he retires because he loves the club so much.
