Atletico Madrid’s midfielder, Saul Niguez made his name at the Euro U21 semi finals ongoing in Poland as he hit a hattrick to send Spain through to the Friday’s final.
Niguez who alongside Marco Asensio, Gerrard Deulofeu and other big young talents for the Spanish side have been sparkling from their first game at Poland and was no exception as his three goals were enough to send Spain through to the finals at the expense of Italy.
Spain was scheduled to play Italy in the semi finals with the other semi final between England and Germany.
Germany has ousted England on penalties to reach the final after both sides finished 2-2 in regulation time and it was the time to decide who joins Germany into the finals on Friday.
The game despite all the various chances ended barren after the first half but sparked into life as Saul Niguez netted the first for his side in the 53rd minute.
Italy was reduced to 10 men but could get the get the equaliser on the 62nd mark from Federico Bernardeschi who scored a spectacular.
Italy’s equaliser was short lived as Saul Niguez needed just 3 minutes after to put Spain ahead for the second time.
Niguez netted Spain’s third and his hattrick to dash all hopes of Italy for a comeback in the 74th minute to make it a memorable night.
Spain joins Germany in the final to be played on Friday.
