WIMBLEDON 2017: NOVAK DJOKOVIC EASES TO QUARTERS

World number four and Serb Novak Djokovic is in the quarter finals after beating Adrian Mannarino in straight sets but needed a treatment to his shoulder.

The 30 year old beat the French 6-2 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 in two hours and 13 minutes in a match that was postponed to today due to Rafael Nadal and Gilles Muller match that lasted for almost five hours.

Djokovic will now face Tomas Berdych from Czech Republic in the quarter finals.

Novak Djokovic needed to treat his shoulder twice during the game and when asked after the game, the former world number one said; “I mentioned there is a hole in the middle of the court to the umpire and he asked me to show him, which I did at the end. He was not too pleased”.

“The courts are not that great this year, many players feel the same. I am sure the groundsmen are the best in the world, but grass is the most complex surface to maintain”, he added.
