England has booked a place in the final of the 2017 European Under-19 Championship after beating Czech Republic 1-0 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The Young Three Lions managed by Keith Downing scored the only goal of the game through Manchester City’s midfielder, Lukas Nmecha after scoring an audacious back-heel from close range; combining with Tottenham’s Marcus Edwards to hand England the winner in what was the final kick of the game.
The victory means England youth have reached four finals this summer including the U20 World Cup which was won by beating Venezuela last month. This is also the third U19 final reached by England after losing to France and Ukraine in 2005 and 2009 respectively.
England will now face Portugal in the final on Friday after the Portuguese beat Netherlands in the other semi final.
