AC Milan are about to give the greatest shock of the 2017 Summer transfer as they get ahead of Chelsea and Manchester City in the race for Juventus star Leonardo Bonucci after agreeing personal terms with the defender.
The 30-year-old Italian is once again in high demand this summer after helping the Italian champions retain their Serie A crown last season.
Chelsea and Manchester City have both expressed an interest in the centre-back after also tracking him last year.According to sources at Sport Mediaset, Milan have jumped in and are now on verge of tying up a deal for Bonucci.
Reports emerging last night about a possible move for Juventus’ Leonardo Bonucci were laughed off – with Sky Sports even denying the move. However, there has been a flurry of activity today that forecast the transfer deal being sealed and closed within the next 24 hours.
The Rossoneri Club have reportedly agreed personal terms with the Italy international over a contract worth around £120,000-a-week.
Milan have now sent through their formal offer to Juventus, which is said to include a huge cash offer plus defenders Mattia De Sciglio and Alessio Romagnoli as part of the deal.It has been said that there is an agreement in theory between Milan and Juventus. In fact, Bonucci’s family are set to stay in Milan, with the defender’s wife looking for a home in the area.
Juve are now mulling over whether to accept the offer – but Bonucci is said to be keen on the move as Milan is his boyhood club.
Leonardo Bonucci is a decorated centre-back that would be very much welcome at Milan this season. He was named the Serie A Footballer of the Year back in 2016, while featuring in the UEFA Team of the Year in that very season. It looks as though in 2017, he’ll be Rossonero.
