The braveness of a boxer is not only found in the ring but as to how to control emotions and this is evident as Welsh Lee Selby who lost his mother on Tuesday is still set to fight and defend his world title.
Selby is scheduled to take on Jonathan Victor Barros on Saturday in the WBC Featherweight bout but lost his mother on Tuesday, just four days before his bout against the Argentine.
Lee, 30, will still go ahead to fight Argentine Victor at Wembley despite her mother death as he looks to defend the title won.
His manager, Jamie Sanigar said; “Lee and the team have made the decision that they will proceed with the contest on Saturday”. “Lee is a brave young man and he’s here to do a job on Saturday”, he reiterated.
