Chelsea beat their local rivals Fulham in a friendly at Cobham today.
The Premier League Champions who announced that they have signed Tiemoue Bakayoko this afternoon beat Fulham 8-2 at Cobham.
Willian netted a hattrick before further strikes from Ceaser Azplicueta and braces from Loic Remy and Michy Batshuayi.
Chelsea who started with Caballero; Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Cahill (c); Moses, Fabregas, Kante, Alonso; Willian, Batshuayi, Pedro in a 3-4-3 system started well as they led 5-1 at halftime.
Willian was superb in the first half as he netted a hattrick and could have been more after the goal post and explicit saves from Fulham’s shot stopper, David Button. Michy Batshuayi added two to it before an own goal from Ceaser Azplicueta eensured the game ended 5-1 at halftime.
Chelsea’s manager, Antonio Conte made nine changes after the break with the second half team being Eduardo; Clarke-Salter, David Luiz (c) (Azpilicueta 60 (Cahill 75)), Kalas; Kenedy, Pasalic, Scott, Tomori; Boga, Remy, Baker added further gloss to the scoreline via a brace from Loic Remy and one from Ceaser Azplicueta. Stefan Johansen scored a penalty to end the game 8-2 for the Blues.
The game was closely watched by new signing Tiemoue Bakayoko as he had a first taste of football in England. He will soon join the team for preseason.
