BREAKING: WHILEY AND KAMIJI WINS FOURTH SUCCESSIVE WIMBLEDON WHEELCHAIR DOUBLES

Jordanne Whiley and friend Yui Kamiji has won a fourth successive Wimbledon women’s wheelchair doubles title at Court Three.

The Brit and friend from China beat the Dutch pair of Marjolein Buis and Diede de Groot 2-6 6-3 6-0.

Whiley, 25 and Kamiji, 23 lost the first set but recovered quickly to record a 2-1 win; failing to lose a single game in the deciding set to extend their winning run at Wimbledon.

Whiley said after the game; “This is by far the most special for me. I really did try my hardest. I’m so happy. “That’s what makes it such a special doubles team.”

“Yui’s my best friend, I would do anything for Yui, I would try my hardest for Yui and I know she would do the same”, she added.

The pair will receive £12,000 as package for winning the women’s  wheelchair doubles title.
