Chris Eubank Jr has retained his IBO World Super Middleweight belt after beating Arthur Abraham by unanimous points decision.
The 27 year old beat the former two-weight world champion, Abraham by margins of 18-110, 118-110 and 120-108 at Wembley Arena.
Abraham, 37 lost to Eubank Jr in his 52nd career fight of which only 6 has been loses while Eubank took his career wins to 25 out of the 26 fought and said he felt he made “a statement” with the victory.
The 27 year old told ITV; “He’s the most durable opponent I’ve faced. I hit him with every punch in the book. “I’m happy with the performance. I got to show my skills, I got to go the 12 rounds and get the experience in.”
His father, Eubank Sr who happens to be his manager and a former two-weight world champion also added; I believe he’s the best in the world. Over the coming nine months, he will be able to clean the slate and come away with the Muhammad Ali Trophy and all the belts.”
