Ghana Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan will on Tuesday open the first phase of AstroTurf pitch on Tuesday.
The Black Stars captain who was an old boy of Accra Academy constructed for his Alma mater a modern AstroTurf pitch and will inaugurate the said facility tomorrow at the school premises.
Gyan, 31, who recently signed for New Kayserispor has always shown his love for the school. The former Sunderland player discovered and cemented his talent during his days on campus and have done that as part of giving back to the school that mad him what he is now.
Gyan started his playing career at Liberty Professionals before moving to Europe and has played for Rennes, Sunderland among a host of clubs before moving to Asia to continue his footballing career there.
He is Ghana’s topscorer with 51 goals and has the most caps for Ghana as he recently made it 103 appearances for Ghana in Ghana’s friendly against the US earlier this month.
