English Premier League side, Leicester City has named their preseason squad for the Premier League Asia Trophy in Hong Kong and has included Ghanaian international, Daniel Amartey.
Amartey, 24, joined Leicester City from FC Copenhagen and was an integral member of the squad after the exit of N’Golo Kante to Chelsea and the injury to summer recruit, Nimpalys Mendy but became a second fiddle when Wilfried Ndidi was bought and he (Amartey) going for the African Cup of Nation as stand-in manager, Craig Shakespeare who took over when Claudio Ranieri was sacked preferred Robert Huth and Wes Morgan to the Ghanaian.
Daniel Amartey will be looking to getting more playing time this season and ahead of their trip to Hong Kong, Shakespeare who was named the substantive manager in June has named the versatile Ghanaian international among the travelling party list.
The Foxes will play West Bromwich Albion at Hong Kong Stadium on Wednesday in the Premier League Asia Trophy before playing either Liverpool or Crystal Palace on Saturday.
