Liberty Professionals head coach, Michael Osei has indicated that the Premier League Board (PLB) must suspend the Ghana Premier League.
This is in relation of the PLB suspending Asante Kotoko games as they are on the recuperation on the accident suffered when returning to Kumasi from Accra after their matchweek 22 game against Inter Allies.
The former Asante Kotoko coach is calling on the PLB not to only suspend Asante Kotoko games but rather suspend all league games as the league draws to a close.
The PLB announced on Tuesday that they have postponed Kotoko game in matchweek 24 against WAFA but all other games will go on over the weekend. This means Asante Kotoko will have two outstanding games and the Liberty Professionals trainer dislike that idea saying his former employers will not be playing any time soon.
He told local based radio station, Atinka FM; “I think it will be good for us to break the League, we have to wait for Kotoko to recover from that incident”.
“It wouldn’t be fair for us to be playing games at this time, already they have an outstanding game and this weekend they are not going to play”, he continued.
“It is likely they will not play their next game as well”, he said.
Liberty Professionals will play Obuasi based AshantiGold on Sunday.
