MEMUNATU SULEMANA HANDED TECHNICAL ROLE AT BLACK MAIDENS

Memunatu Sulemana has been handed a technical role at the Black Maidens.

Former Ghana Black Queens shot stopper, Memunatu Sulemana is the new goalkeeper’s trainer for the Ghana’s female U17 team, the Black Maidens after being handed the role to be part of the Black Maidens technical team ahead of their preparations for the upcoming 2018 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.

Sulemana, 39, who was one of the best shot stoppers at the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup representing Ghana at the 2003, 2005, and 2007 Africa Women’s Championship has been handed the role due to her experience keeping the post for Ghana and also Fabulous Ladies, a National Women’s League team in Ghana.

Sulemana made three World Cup appearances for Ghana in 1999, 2003 and 2007 and will bring vast experience to the Black Maidens as they bid to make it consecutive appearances at the World Cup.

Black Maidens won bronze in 2014, Africa’s best place at the World Cup and were quarter finalists in the last edition.
