English outfit, Manchester City has signed Danilo from Real Madrid.
The deal is believed to be around £26.5m and has seen the Real Madrid defender signed a five-year deal and can offer Manchester City options at full back as he can play on both sides as well as in midfield.
Danilo who joined Real Madrid in 2015 won five trophies with the Los Blancos including two Champions League titles.
Brazilian Danilo, 26, becomes City’s fifth signing of the summer following the arrival of Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva, Douglas Luis and goalkeeper, Ederson Moraes.
The Citizens has also been linked with a move for £52m Benjamin Mendy from AS Monaco
“There was interest from other clubs, but it has always been my ambition to play for Pep Guardiola,” Danilo said.
“Danilo is a fine player who offers great versatility,” said City director of football Txiki Begiristain.
“He can operate in several different roles in both defence and midfield, increasing Pep’s options ahead of the new season.”
The move is subject to Danilo receiving a work permit.
