CHARLES AKUNNOR: WE WERE POOR AGAINST LIBERTY PROFESSIONALS

AshantiGold SC manager, Charles Akunnor has indicated that his team were poor against Liberty Professionals after suffering their second consecutive defeat at the Carl Reindolf.

Liberty Professionals beat AshGold 1-0 in the 24th week of the Ghana Premier League with the solitary goal coming from Papa Arko who ensured his side record their first win in three games.

Akunnor who was interviewed said; “The game was an open game but I was not happy with the way we lost especially with my defenders”.

“I don’t want comment about referee decisions but this has been a problem in our country and so the league doesn’t thrive but am more focused on what my players did”, he added.

“We have lost this match and we have to recover quickly for our next game”, he concluded.

AshantiGold will be back to the Obuasi Len Clay stadium to take on second place WAFA in one of the outstanding games in the GPL on Sunday.
