Phil Bardsley has joined Burnley from Stoke City for an undisclosed fee.
The Scottish international has signed a two-year contract at the Turf Moor.
Bardsley, 32, and former Manchester United right-back is rejoining the club he spent a season long loan there in 2006 and is Burnley’s fourth signing of the current window. He joins fellow Stoke city teammate Jon Walters, Jack Cork and Charlie Taylor as the new recruits at the Turf Moor.
Bardsley said after penning the contract; “There’s still fire in the belly to achieve things in football and what a great chance”.
“Coming back here and playing again at Turf Moor is going to be a great challenge and one I’m looking forward to”, he added.
