OBED ACHEAMPONG: KOTOKO BLACK STARS ‘B’ PLAYERS ARE UNFIT

Head of Communication for Asante Kotoko Obed Acheampong has indicated that the five players invited by the Black Stars B are not fully fit.

The Porcupine Warriors were involved in an accident at Nkawkaw on July 12 and has since not played any game since then.

The local national team technical handlers called up a squad of 28 players of which 5 of them were from Asante Kotoko for the upcoming CHAN qualifiers against Burkina Faso and also the WAFU tournament.

Obed Acheampong amidst calls from some section that why should the club hierarchy release the players for the national side told Starrsportsgh.com;

“We made the current state of the players clear to the management of the Local Black Stars before allowing them to honour the invite”.

“They are not fully fit but the point is per the program we had for them that is what they are going to continue doing– start with light training and then later to ball works”.
