Kofi Bekoe, player for Accra Great Olympics has apologized to Emmanuel Gyamfi of Kumasi Asante Kotoko for his bad tackle on the winger.
Emmanuel Gyamfi got injured yesterday when the Black Stars ‘B’ engaged Accra Great Olympics in a training match.
Fans of Asante Kotoko have reacted furiously for the injury of their trusted winger as they prepare for the Super clash against Accra Hearts of Oak.
Speaking on Boss FM this afternoon, Kofi explained thus ” I am every sorry for the injury on Kotoko’s Emmamuel Gyamfi, I wish to emphasis that it was not intentional”.
“I do not have anything against him and we are not even in the same team to compete for positions and I am not even in the Black Stars B team as well”, the former Black Stars player said.
Kofi continued that” I admit the tackle was needless but it was just a mere accident as i thought i could sweep the ball away from his feet”.
“I would like to apologize to my brother once again and to the entire Kotoko family for this unfortunate incident” Bekoe concluded.
Gymafi is likely to miss the clash against Hearts on 6th August in Kumasi and that can affect the Porcupine Warriors so much because they are already missing some key players due to the accident that happened a fortnight ago at Nkawkaw.
Meanwhile the Black stars B are also preparing for their 2018 CHAN qualifier against neighbours Burkina Faso on August 11.
