Elmina Sharks head coach, Yaw Acheampong has indicated that the reason for the club’s resurgence is due to ‘God’.
The newly promoted side are currently lying 7th on the Ghana Premier League log with 32 points after 24 round of games.
Elmina Sharks were lying in the relegation zone after the first round leading to the dismissal of head coach Amissah and temporal appointment of Yaw Acheampong and deputy Felix Aboagye to lead the club.
The club have re-surged under Yaw Acheampong winning their last four Ghana Premier League games played.
In an exclusive interview with Sportsnetghana.com, the head coach of Elmina Sharks indicated;
“God has been the secret behind my success or the progress of Sharks currently”.
“It was difficult at the initial stages, but we are still on it; the mission has not been achieved yet, but we are highly optimistic that we will have a respectable position at the end of the league”, he added.
He was also quick to point out that the club will do more than they are doing now if he is still at the helm of affairs.
“I know the team will come fine next season if I am still in charge of the club”.
“I must admit that there are lots of work to be done in the club and hopefully I will do my best within this season for the club to be saved from getting relegated”, he reiterated.
