BREAKING: MANCHESTER UNITED’S DEFENDER PHIL JONES SUSPENDED BY UEFA FOR BREACHING ANTI DOPING RULES

Manchester United defender Phil Jones has been suspended by UEFA for two European games for breaching anti-doping rules when he verbally assaulted an UEfA anti-doping officer at Stockholm.

The English was involved in an verbal insult with the officer when Manchester United played Ajax in the UEFA Europa League final.

Jones was found guilty of “directing insulting and directing abusive language” and “a lack of cooperation and respect” towards the UEFA anti-doping official and has been hit with two games ban and fined £4,450 .

His teammate Danny Blind is also charged with anti-doping rules violation and fined £4,450.

Manchester United which these two players play for is also fined £8,900 bringing the total to £17,600.

Jones with this ban means he will miss the UEFA Super Cup clash with Real Madrid in Skopje on 8th August, 2017 and also the Champions league group stage opening game.

Manchester United are already missing Eric Bailly for the same matches after his red card suspension was extended to three European games.
