Barcelona forward Neymar has been handed permission to leave Barcelona training as he nears a move to Paris St-Germain.
Neymar, 25, who has a release clause of 222m euro (£198m) has been a subject of rumoured transfer to the Paris based side as he is reported to fancy a move to PSG which will make him the poster boy of the club.
Neymar who has been chosen as the ambassador for Qatar 2022 World Cup told his team-mates at training on Wednesday that he wanted to leave the Spanish club.
He was handed the permission by the manager of Barcelona Ernesto Valverde not to train and to “sort out his future”.
Barcelona who had earlier indicated that they could send PSG to UEFA on the grounds of Financial Fair Play have now granted the Brazilian a chance to leave the club’s training.
Neymar who has been excellent for Barcelona’s preseason tour in the America has left training as he prepares to complete the deal that will make him join PSG.
His career at the Catalans have seen him score 105 goals for the club winning two league titles, three Copa del Rey and a Champions League title won in 2015.
He formed a great partnership in the ‘MNS’ after teaming up with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in a deadly and unplayable partnership.
